Training on disability inclusion disaster management for BDRCS and CPP volunteers

Floods, cyclones, landslides, and intense monsoon rains are among the many natural disasters that frequently strike Teknaf Upazila, which is situated in the Cox's Bazar region in southern Bangladesh. Along with these natural dangers, the neighborhood is also seriously threatened by man-made disasters such as trafficking, fire incidents, traffic accidents, and Myanmar wars. Reducing fatalities and property damage, maintaining safety, and facilitating recovery all depend on the community's ability to cope with disasters.

The Cyclone Preparedness Program (CPP), run by the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), is essential to maintaining community resilience in Bangladesh and along the coast. When allocating relief and rehabilitation assistance, they will prioritize special care in shelters, including specific needs during and after disasters.
