About NGDO
National Grassroot Disability Organization (NGDO) is a nonprofit, community-driven initiative dedicated to empowering persons with disabilities across Bangladesh. Founded with a vision to create an inclusive society where every individual, regardless of ability, can lead a dignified and fulfilling life, NGDO works tirelessly at the grassroots level to amplify the voices of the disabled community.
Our mission is to promote the rights, wellbeing, and active participation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of social, economic, and political life. We collaborate with local communities, government bodies, and national and international partners to implement sustainable programs focused on accessibility, education, healthcare, livelihood development, and social inclusion.
At NGDO, we believe that real change starts from the ground up. Our network spans across rural and urban areas, where we support self-help groups, provide capacity-building training, raise awareness, and advocate for inclusive policy reforms.Through our efforts, NGDO aims to break down barriers and build a society where diversity is celebrated and inclusion is a shared responsibility.
Mission
To form an active organization involving persons with disabilities through mutual cooperation and unison organizing the DPOs from grassroots level and to create a balanced society where all disabled people can have equal rights and make them self reliant.

Strategies
To achieve the AIMS of NGDO, it works in three dimensions, i.e. Activities for building strong organization of Person with Disabilities, capacity building of DPOs & advocacy to influence policy makers & development organizations to include the rights and needs of disabled people in all their work and to encourage them to allocate resources.
Registration of NGDO
NGDO is registered with the Bureau of NGO Affairs Bangladesh (Reg. no.2373 ) as well as Join Stock Companies and Firms, Bangladesh (Reg. no. S – 48 (989) / 05).
